This month marks Trans Awareness Month – a time for trans people and our allies to bring attention to the lived experiences of trans people, the real issues and joys of our lives.
An awareness month recognised globally, including Trans Awareness Week (13th – 19th Nov) and Trans Day of Remembrance (20th Nov).
Trans Awareness Month is when the trans and gender diverse community can share their stories and help to combat misinformation.
The Manchester Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) Vigil will take place on Friday 20th November in Sackville Gardens (M1 3HB)
Arrival from 6.30pm and the service will start at 7.00pm
There will be a service of speakers and performers. Candles will be provided and we can take the time to remember those trans & gender diverse lives we have sadly lost.
Working in collaboration to create the new Manchester Trans organisations Network for our communities, with Not a Phase, The Placard People, The Proud Place, Sparkle Charity, and Trans Pride Manchester
If you are interested in speaking at the TDOR Vigil, you can email hello@notaphase.org
