A new chapter in the Russell Road story is set to begin with the launch of Chorus, a collection of 40 shared ownership apartments to a groundbreaking community built around inclusion, connection and belonging. Alongside Kindred House, the UK’s first social rent purpose-built majority LGBTQ+ Extra Care housing scheme for older people, Chorus forms part of a unique neighbourhood where LGBTQ+ people, allies and the wider community can live, connect and thrive together.
The wider Russell Road vision has been shaped through collaboration between LGBT Foundation, Manchester City Council, Great Places Housing Group, Plumlife Homes and community partners, creating a place where people feel safe, valued and welcome.
More than simply providing homes, Russell Road is about creating a community where people can be themselves. As part of this landmark neighbourhood, Chorus will help people put down long-term roots, make meaningful connections and feel safe, valued and welcome.
