The upgraded space boasts a seductive new aesthetic, striking red lights, an outdoor terrace, and bespoke local art installations.
Expanded offering includes signature cocktails, small plates, Live-Jazz Sundays, drag, burlesque, and late-night DJ sets.
MANCHESTER, UK – Red Light, Manchester’s award-winning LGBTQ+ cocktail bar, is making a surprise return to the city on Friday 9th October. Reopening on Tariff Street in the heart of the Northern Quarter (next door to The Whisky Jar), the beloved venue reopens with a seductive new aesthetic, an expanded food and drink offering, and a revived music program.
Founded by Deana Ferguson, Red Light’s new home delivers the original concept fully realised: a refined yet welcoming sanctuary blending sleek booth seating, striking red lights, a bar, boutique club vibes, and an outdoor terrace open until 11 PM. The interior showcases the works of queer local photographers, including Jen Melia, Sara Carpentieri, Nick Priestley, and Harmeet Singh.
The famous cocktail menu will return, featuring favourites like the Pink Picante, Pomme Verte – a popular twist on an appletini, Belfast Coffee, the famous spicy pickle martini Especiado and the Pornstar Chic, crafted with homemade passionfruit sorbet. Red Light also introduces a brand-new savoury snack menu, including, Boquerones, Pickled Guindilla peppers, Gordal olives, Mini Croissant Butter Blondies from Pollen and homemade Salted Popcorn Ice Cream.
To complement the elevated look and taste, Red Light has curated energetic, diverse programming, spanning Italo disco, French house, and live performance art, weekly live jazz performances, regular drag showcases, burlesque acts, and themed promoter nights that encourage guests to dress up and express themselves. Further programming will be announced when the club space downstairs is ready later this year.
