Ojo de Tigre is taking Manchester Pride by storm. The mezcal brand is throwing open a pop up bar at Kampus for the full August bank holiday weekend, pouring frozen Mezcal Pina Coladas at the heart of the Love Party, the city’s boldest alternative Pride celebration, right next to the Gay Village.
Expect colour, noise and a serious party. Ojo de Tigre is teaming up with two of Kampus’s favourite haunts, Nell’s and Red Light, on special menus built around its signature Mezcal Pina Coladas, while branded banners and fans flood the space and get handed straight into festival goers’ hands.
Pride runs deep in Ojo de Tigre’s DNA. One of its co-founders, the Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Mendez, is part of the LQBTQ+ community and the brand has thrown itself behind Pride celebrations across the United States for years, including blowout events tied to the World Cup in Mexico. Manchester is simply the latest city to get the Ojo de Tigre treatment.
The celebrations spill out well beyond Kampus. Mangrove is powering a street party along Tariff Street, uniting four of the city’s best loved bars, Tariff and Dale, Fell NQ, Northern Monk Taproom and Whiskey Jar. Drag Queen Charra Tea will hop between all four over the weekend, and Ojo de Tigre cocktail prices will drop the moment she takes the mic.
