Neuroqueerz, a community organisation supporting neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ people and their allies, recently announced a new partnership with Manchester Village Pride, bringing a dedicated Calm Space to this year’s festival.
The Neuroqueerz Calm Space will run across both days of Manchester Village Pride — Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August, from 12pm to 7pm, at the Holiday Inn, Manchester City Centre, 25 Aytoun St, Manchester, M1 3DT.
The space is designed to offer event-goers a quiet, sensory-friendly environment to step back and recharge during the celebrations, reflecting Neuroqueerz’s core values of wellness, empowerment, and belonging. Visitors will be able to:
- Relax in a calm, low-stimulation environment
- Meet the Neuroqueerz team and learn more about their work
- Watch a live stream of the parade
- Access information and resources on how Neuroqueerz supports neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ people and allies
- Use wheelchair charging facilities
“I’m incredibly proud and excited to be bringing Neuroqueerz to life in my home town, and there’s no better way to kick things off than through this partnership with Manchester Village Pride.
