On Saturday, 1st November 2025, the brilliant Fairfield Social Club (part of GRUB Mcr) is being turned into a proper Halloween den.
It’s time to get your spooky on! Manchester’s legendary five-star cabaret, Ember & the Vixens, is back, and this time it’s getting a seriously creepy makeover. Thanks to some amazing support from Arts Council England, they’re bringing us a Monster Masquerade and it sounds incredible.
Get ready for a huge night of live music, burlesque, spoken word, and circus acts. It’s going to be a cabaret spooktacular!
The whole show is a big love letter to all things creepy and nightmarish. The Vixens promise to bring mesmerising music, sensual burlesque, punchy spoken word and hypnotising circus, all wrapped up in a dark, spooky theme.
Ember wants everyone to join in on the fun for a night of liberation and empowerment, whether you’re a Halloween mega-fan or just fancy a top night out. Doors open at 7:30 pm, with the show kicking off at 8 pm. And yes, you should absolutely come in your best Monster Masquerade fancy dress.
This is a show you don’t want to miss. Mag North said it was “a very special evening” with “equally brilliant women,” and Number 9 Reviews called it “a feminist event in the best sense of the word.” So you know it’s going to be good.
This event is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
