Village based Dog walker Lisa Kenyon

We recently caught up with dog loving Lisa kenyon, who told us just why she set up her own 'walkies' business, during lockdown.

"I am a dog crazy lady, cos dogs are just THE BEST! But then I also love all animals and have a dream of having my own rescue sanctuary one day.. in the meantime I've loved and had rescue dogs since I was 8 years old, I currently have my 3rd Spanish rescue dog called Pippy living with me in Manchester. She's my partner in crime and we walk in the city and around the various parks all around greater Manchester.

Pippy can often be seen out bothering squirrels with her best mates and since Covid struck (and then being made redundant!!) I've been out almost every week day learning on the job with a local professional dog walker and trainer (and best friend) walking all doggies large and tiny and I now can't think of anything else I would rather do with my life. I've also had/cared for horses, rabbits, cats, hamsters, fish etc... and worked on an animal sanctuary in Spain in 2019 caring for pigs, donkeys, goats etc..... what more can I say other than animals rock... but dogs will always be my number 1.

So whilst I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to dog walking. I do solo walks, groups of 4 walks, city centre walks, out of town park and woods runs (on lead at all times until you were happy with off) I am also training for the London Marathon (for Spanish Stray Dogs Charity) so if you have a high energy pooch going crazy round your living room I can take your dog running with me (I have all the relevant running harnesses)

I'm also happy to help with ad hoc day care, home visits, small animal visits, feeding and care within the central Manchester area. Message me for a chat, a meet and greet or anything else you might want to ask me (within reason haha). Me and Pippy look forward to meeting you and your furry besties".

Walkies Club has space for a few more furry friends to join on their walks (first come first served and as always, subject to a mutually agreed successful meet n greet of course) and if you follow and mention @canalstreetmedia when enquiring, we’re offering 20% off your first 1hr solo walk (usually £15) and book a course of 10 group walks (usually £12 per walk) and get the discount rate of £10.80 per walk (for city centre dogs).

Further offers may follow in the near year via Canal Street Media also so “watch this space” treat your bestie to some fun walks and play times with new doggo friends in the local area they’ll wuff you for it and we can’t wait to meet them

Lisa is also supporting our competition to win a £50 voucher to spend at DOGSHOPMCR by posting your fav doggie pic to #MYPOOCHPIC on Instagram.
