“#STAYHOME With GlitterBeam Radio”: News, Shows and Entertainment tailored for the LGBTQ+ Community at home.

With the UK Lockdown and the Coronavirus Pandemic, the LGBTQ+ is one of the community more at risk for Mental Health Wellbeing. We can’t be social as we were few weeks ago, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t be social at all!

GlitterBeam Radio, the LGBTQ+ Internet Radio Station, has just launched “#StayHome with GlitterBeam”. In this moment of almost complete LockDown of the country, the station is ensuring a full schedule of shows, music and events for the LGBTQ+ community at home.

The station has relaunched the possibility to give shoutouts, messages on air to celebrate people far apart: “Magic Moments”. As stated on the website “Send us an e-mail at hello@glitterbeam.co.uk and tell us everything about who you want to celebrate, along with a contact number. We will call the person on air for a shoutout , surprising them, delivering your message, and if you want, a song of your choice!”

The station schedule has also been adapted for inform and entertain all day long: 

“Every morning you can wake up with LGBTQ+ News and great uplifting music with “The Morning Beam” (Monday to Friday, 7am to 9am) while you have a coffee, some breakfast, and exercise at home. News coverages in the morning is ensured by RadioNewsHub with 2 bulletins at 7:30 and at 8:30. 

If you work from home, our Music With Sparkle during the day is the perfect companion. Afternoon and evenings are there for some distraction! Have a laugh with “The Gossip Gays” every Monday at 7pm,”Queer Culture” on Thursday at 7pm, “The Twink Talks” on Saturday at 10am, and “Ginger and Nuts” on Sunday at 10am. or maybe you can organise a virtual house party via Skype or Zoom with your family and friends: we got you covered, on Monday at 9pm with Hedgey B’s “DanceFreedom” and the big Friday Vibes Party, every Friday from 7pm with “GlitterBox Radio Show“, “Armada Radio Show” and Roger Sanchez “Release Yourself“. You will also end up singing with our throwback shows “Back To The 80’s” (Tuesday at 6pm) and “A Blast From The Past” (Wednesday at 7pm).”

Added to this, a series of events will be launched, like a special episode of the Ghost Hunt “Secret Horizons”, and a special All-Night-Party on Easter Sunday with many DJs performing Live from home. The list of events and new shows is growing daily, announced on the station’s social media handles (@glitterbeamuk)
