Smalltown Boy is a LGBTQ+ romance

Smalltown Boy is a LGBTQ+ romance novel by debut author Josh Stoddard, set in 1985, just after the first Manchester Pride and during the AIDs crisis.

It’s about a baker called Finn who has a secret - he’s bisexual.

Nobody knows and he wants to keep it that way. But in a town as small as his, everyone knows everything, and secrets don't stay secret for long.

Then he meets Kat, a punk with her own baggage. She worries she’s not enough for Finn and eventually, their secrets and paranoia lead to bad choices with even worse consequences.

In the end, Finn must realise if wants the best of both worlds, he's gotta face the music.

It’s semi-autobiographical, based on Josh’s own experiences and a lot of it takes place in Canal Street.

You can pre-order the digital version right now on Amazon. It’s only £2.99 and will be coming out on Bi Visibility Day, 23rd September 2020.
