RIP Paul Jones

RIP Paul Jones

We are sad to report the death of Paul Jones this week after a long battle with Cancer.

Many of you will know that Paul was a long standing community stalwart and for over 25 years photographed thousands of wonderful images captured at various Pride and Sparkle events.

We are proud to say that Paul also streamed his insighful images via Canal St Online for many years via his page linked below.

Creator of Vailla Steph Kay told us;

"Paul was originally from North Wales but loved Manchester life , he was passionate about the gay village aswell as photography and combined the two to set about taking on as many diverse photos as possible.

Working regularly for George House Trust , Body PosItive , The LGF, and Healthy Gay Manchester MCC .

His favourite events were Manchester Pride and Sparkle , but also covered big club events for Cruz Essential Vanilla and POPTASTIC, gaining the name The Village Photographer.

All Paul’s photos were free  he wanted everyone to be able to enjoy them.

He has a huge talent and He will be sadly missed"
