Proud Weekend 2019

Where & Why

The event is on Sackville Gardens over the 29th & 30th June weekend and is an LGBT+ free event commemorating 50 years to the weekend, that the stonewall riots happened.

What will be there?

It is a party in the gardens and LGBT+ focused, stall sellers charities stands etc and a huge stage with a catwalk added for the Empowerment catwalk.

Organisers have representitives from charities and groups in Manchester,  aswell as entertainers from the City. Speakers and Activists too.

The main aim is to focus on the Manchester LGBT+ the closenit community and showing off what they do best. It is not a Pride event, no bit acts or line ups.

Venue Information

The event will be in the Sackville gardens area for the duration of the 2 days,  but the main aim is and always was for the venues and groups to benefit.

The venues will ALL be advertised in the Be Proud Programme, and organisers will want to push everything you are doing over that weekend to ensure you get the most out of the weekend.
