Online adult store esmale celebrates their 10th anniversary!

In these days that is an impressive achievement. As they have many customers in Manchester and surroundings, we thought we catch up with them to see what their secret is.

Q: Before we get into it can you explain to those that don’t know esmale, what you are all about?

A: I sure can. Just over 10 years ago we started as a gay sex toys store but we have now grown into a full gay adult store with toys, fashion, fetish, sex essentials and various adult novelty goods. The principle of esmale is delivering adult tools to your door. We see it as our goal to put smiles on customers faces through our pleasure products. 

Q: Why do you think so many of your customers are in the Manchester area?

A: Good question and I wish we knew. I can only think that people in Manchester and surroundings know how to have a good time. I think it also helps that the area is full of openminded people that no longer feel a taboo about using products to have a good time. Having a large gay population helps but we have many customers that don’t identify as gay. We sell to a huge variety of people from all walks of life and with a very varied sexual orientation and identity.

Q: What are the likes and dislikes of running an online adult store?

A: Oh my, there are plenty of both, but overall, there are MANY more likes than dislikes. One thing we did not really anticipate is how relentless it can be. As an online store it really is 24/7, but we would not have it any other way. One of the very best things is the contact with our customers. We get to hear plenty of stories about the adventures being had with our products. Getting feedback on how some of our products have improved people’s adult experience is something we cannot get enough of.

Q: What are the best sellers at esmale

A: That is a hard one. We have so many products areas in our store and each area has some great sellers. Of course, product like lube, performance enhancers and poppers to we sell through a sister store will always sell the most as people keep coming back for these. Outside of the consumables I think our anal toys range is very popular and we are seeing a trend towards more technology-based items. For example, we have a rotating and thrusting prostate massager that customers can’t get enough off.  In terms of popular brands, we see that Oxballs, Fleshjack, BerlinXXX are in demand. From an underwear point ofview we probably sell the most of Addicted, Pump, Breedwell and C-in2.

Q: Any product tips you can give us?

A: Sure. One of the first tips is that a good gay lube[please link the word combination gay lube does improve the action. Quality lube will stay wet for longer and some have a numbing effect for those that experience an uncomfortable feeling at times. Secondly, I would say that the size of a toy is not perse a guarantee for satisfaction. Look at additional effect such as rotation, vibration etc. It is all about hitting that p-spot. Lastly, I would say that even though we offer products for all wallets, buying a cheaper products is not always the best value. The higher quality products last longer and ultimately provide better value.

Q: We have just entered a new year, what are your plans for 2022?

A: Well, our focus will always be on trying to have great products in store at the right price. With that in mind we will be adding many new lines to the store. We have some exciting new fashion, fetish and toys brands coming to the store. We will also be looking to support the community by sponsoring events and helping where we can. In essence we want to look after our customers and the community, it is also important to us that we do it in a way that makes working for esmale a fun place to be.

Q; If there is anything you would like to say to our readers what would it be? 

A: Enjoy yourself! This sounds really simple, and I do not mean just with our pleasure tools but also in general life. There is so much going on in the world that we need to make time for some fun in any shape or form. Blowing of a bit of steam, having a laugh with your mates or treating your body to some intense fun. These are all great ways that can take yourself away from the day-to-day.
