Mark Croasdale at Queer Contact 2021
Spilling the Tea is a guide to being seen and a lesson in disappearing. It’s an intimate yet explosive performance about coming out, fitting in and finding ways to belong.
When the make-up starts to crack, the magic fades and the world around you seems too complex, do you ever just want to escape?
Mark is inviting you on to the stage for an evening that will have you spilling tea, smashing biscuits and questioning what it means to belong.
Expect music, storytelling, illusion and intrigue. It’s pure theatre, darling!
This is one of several films premiering at Queer Contact, featuring different experiences of queer identity. The event will feature a live Q+A session with the creators.
Mark was one of our featured artists at LINK UP in November 2020, discussing his development of the performance that became Spilling the Tea. You can find out more about his work in their LINK UP blog here.
This performance is part of Queer Contact Festival 2021. For the first time this year, we are offering a membership deal for Queer Contact. For just £10 you can get free entry to this event and and others, plus 25% off a range of shows! To find out more, click here.
