GASP! Horror Film Festival returns for second year.

GASP! Horror Film Festival returns for second year.

8 brand new feature length films. 40 short films. 2 mystery films. 1 anniversary screening. GASP! Horror Film Festival is back!

This year we have an additional day which means even more films including an additional Short Film Showcase, even more feature length films and, a new addition for 2024, a mystery women in horror film showing on the Sunday, a day which will be dedicated entirely to horror films written and/or directed by women.

The festival will open on Friday June 21st with a double bill of Sean Kurosawa’s short, weird and wonderful no budget, gore filled love letter to cinema, Okhotsk of the Living Dead, and Julia Marchese’s feminist horror thriller, I Know What You Need, an adaptation of the short story by Stephen King made in the style of an after school special. After three days of zombies, vampires, witches, serial killers, giallo throwbacks and found footage (and much more, of course), the festival will come to a close on Sunday June 23rd with a 5 year anniversary screening of Rose Glass’ creepy religious horror masterpiece, Saint Maud which will be preceded by Ashley Mary Nunes’

short slasher satire, Final Girls’ Bloodbath.

As with last year, GASP! is here to celebrate the diversity we all know is present within this much loved genre by bringing you a range of the latest short and feature length films directed, written and/or produced by people of colour, women, people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Please see full programme details HERE – please note, showtimes are subject to change.
