Charities launch It Takes a Village

Charities launch It Takes a Village

We're excited to announce a fascinating cooperation with the LGBT Foundation for the 2024 event "It Takes a Village." This project symbolises a joyful collaboration, bringing together renowned local venues in a coordinated effort to collect funds and recognise both organisations' great work.

Mark your calendars: the celebrations begin on Wednesday, April 17th and continue through Sunday, April 21st. Each evening is painstakingly organised to provide something unique, ensuring that the sense of community and joy comes through. Throughout the weekend, both organisations will have a dynamic presence in Sackville Gardens, offering a variety of activities, engaging live performances, and a selection of delicious delicacies.

An event spokesperson told us;

"It takes a village is a collaborative event between George House Trust and LGBT Foundation.  All your favourite venues in the Gay Village are coming together to  fundraise and celebrate the vital work both charities do.

Kicking off on Wednesday 17th of April all the way though to Sunday 21st, there will be events on every single night. Both charities will be setting up camp in Sackville Gardens over the weekend, we will be hosting activities, performances and loads of tasty treats.

Keep an eye out for what is going on and where in the next few weeks! "

We welcome you to keep an eye for detailed information about the activities and venues in the coming weeks. This promises to be an incredible occasion, not just in terms of community and support, but also as an opportunity to band together for a good cause.
