Chicago at the Opera House

Chicago at the Opera House

Are you ready for a little razzle dazzle? Chicago, the 2nd longest running musical on Broadway is back in Manchester this week!

Our own Faye Brookes from Corrie fame is back in town, performing as Roxie Hart in a show with plenty of smut, splits and scintillating moves.

The minimalist set means there is little room for error, and the production is impeccable. Sheila Ferguson, from the Three Degrees gives an excellent performance as Mama with our personal favourite being Roxie’s murdered lover Jack Casely. Joel Benjamin plays this role perfectly with plenty a laughs from the packed crowd last night.

The lady sat next to us commented that she had previously seen Chicago on Broadway and that the Manchester production was just as good. High praise indeed!

The team at the Opera House are always friendly and helpful, which serves to add to a perfectly lovely and entertaining evening.
