A new winter highlight for Manchester audiences
With its mix of sharp comedy, heartfelt moments and a lively contemporary score, Freaky Friday The Musical is a feel-good show for all ages; the perfect way to kick off the festive season in Manchester before heading out on tour across the UK.

A familiar story with a fresh twist
When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they’ve got just one day to put things right again. Based on the beloved novel by Mary Rodgers and the hit Disney films, Freaky Friday The Musical is a heartfelt and funny take on the timeless story, full of family, chaos and self-discovery.

Career-driven mum Katherine (Rebecca Lock) and her teenage daughter Ellie (Jena Pandya) can’t see eye to eye, each convinced the other has it easy. But when they spend a day living each other’s lives, they start to understand one another’s challenges, and discover the love and respect that ties them together.

Returning to Manchester for the festive season
Both Rebecca Lock and Jena Pandya are returning to Manchester following critically acclaimed performances at the Opera House earlier this year. Rebecca starred as Caz in Here and Now: The Steps Musical in October, while Jena played Simran in Come Fall in Love back in June.

They’re joined by a strong ensemble cast including Ian Virgo (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Mike, Samantha Ho (Cabaret) as Gretchen, Beth Savill (Hamlet) as Hannah, Waylon Jacobs (Hamilton) as Dr Ehrin, and Tori Scott (The Cher Show) as Torrey, alongside a host of exciting new talent making their professional stage debuts.
