With this year’s celebrations still fresh in our memories, the countdown to next year’s event begins, inviting everyone to secure their spot at one of the world’s leading LGBTQ+ events.

Manchester Pride 2025: A Celebration of Equality and Diversity

Over the August bank holiday weekend (Friday 22nd – Monday 25th August), Manchester was once again transformed into a vibrant celebration of music, colour, and unity as tens of thousands gathered to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride and equality.

Both the Gay Village and Mardi Gras brought together a spectacular lineup of local and international artists. Highlights included an unforgettable performance from global icon Nelly Furtado and British icons, including Olly Alexander & Leigh-Ann, as well as unique stage takeovers, including Black Pride MCR and Kulture Cabaret, which added depth and diversity to the weekend’s offerings.

Beyond the music, Pride weekend featured cornerstone events that celebrated the spirit and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. The Manchester Pride Parade painted the city streets with love, pride and solidarity, while the Rally provided a platform for voices advocating for equality and change. As always, Manchester Pride culminated in the deeply moving Candlelit Vigil in Sackville Gardens, honouring those we’ve lost to HIV and to stand united in the fight against the global epidemic and the persistent stigma that surrounds it.

David McGovern, Chair of the Baord of Trustees of Manchester Pride, shared his reflections: “This year’s Manchester Pride was nothing short of magical. Seeing our community and allies come together in such a vibrant and heartfelt celebration reminds us of the strength we have when we stand united and show up for Pride.

“From the incredible performances at both Mardi Gras and the Gay Village to the profound moments of reflection, Manchester Pride 2025 embodied the true spirit of love, acceptance, and resilience. We will be working hard over the next twelve months to bring you another successful Manchester Pride next year.”
