New markets for Chorlton

CHORLTON MAKERS MARKET LAUNCH SATURDAY 20TH OF AUGUST 2016

Chorlton Street Market is changing. The Makers Market is delighted to announce that they will be working with Manchester Markets, to develop and expand the monthly Chorlton Street Market. Held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, the Chorlton Makers Market will be launching on Saturday 20th of August 2016.

Victoria Crane, Director of the Makers Market explained, “Chorlton Street Market was created to provide an interesting and welcoming event in the heart of the village. During the last four years the market has grown and evolved and we the Makers Market very much look forward to developing the event further."

" We pride ourselves at the Makers Market in delivering delightful specialist events with many award winning local producers of unique goods that compliment rather than compete with the permanent retail offering. The aim of our events is to ensure we create a monthly happening, that is enjoyable and a must in the diary, consequently bringing the community together, helping to create a sense of place and increasing footfall for the local businesses.

We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Chorlton Councillors and Manchester Markets  on the new monthly Chorlton Makers Market, launching on the 20th of August. We will work hard to protect the relationships that have been forged over the last four years of the Chorlton Street Market. Protecting the relationships with the regular stall holders, community groups and performers. We very much look forward to developing the event alongside Manchester Markets.”

The monthly Chorlton Makers Market will showcase award winning local food, drink, art & craft producers and artisans, as well as music, performance, cookery demonstrations and activities for children and promises to be an event not to be missed.
