The film stars Shameless actor Jody Latham and was shot entirely in Manchester using a Manchester crew and cast and was made on a micro budget of £3000, the film then went onto premier at Cinema Diverse Gay film festival in Palm Spring where it was chosen from over 1000 films to be in a 15 film selection.

Themes of sexuality struggle, social media, repressed memories and dysfunction in this British drama from upcoming director Lloyd Eyre-Morgan, Stars Manchester actor Jody Latham (Shameless, Ruby Blue, Eastenders). The film is BBFC rated 18 and out January 28th.

Vulnerable and unable to articulate their worries and struggling with coming to terms with sexuality, teenagers Josh & Nicola struggle with their Mum' Dawn's more recent bout of outbursts and her increasing instability as she begins to remember abuse from her past.

Josh escapes into a world of gay social media and blogging, while Nicola resorts to darker methods of escape on the local estate. Are Dawn's recollections true or have they been encouraged? Is the family strong enough to get through it?

Celluloid is based on filmmakers Lloyd Eyre-Morgans childhood growing up and premièred at Cinema Diverse Palm Springs Film Festival earlier this year, where it was selected from 2000 films to be part of a 15 film line up.

The film is out now from TLA Releasing and is available from HMV, Amazon, Fopp, Lovefilm, Blinkbox and all good retailers, we made the film out of passion and determination on a budget of just £3000 and amazing have gained national release.

Lloyd's first film dream on a gay drama was released in June and was number 1 in the Amazon gay and lesbian chart and has now secured USA Distribution and European release.

Lloyd approached actor Jody Latham with the script last year and Jody felt passionate about working with a new upcoming writer director and wanted to tackle the relevant themes included in the piece and agreed to come on board as one of the producers of the film as well as lead actor.
