Saturday 31st March is our Annual International Tartan Day dance which this year is being held at St Matthews Church Hall, Chapel Lane, Stretford, Manchester. Tickets are £9.00 and are now available from the class, or through the website, email and the groups mobile number of 07533 587770.

This year we are pleased to have live music played by Phill Jones with all dances being walked through on the evening. Details are on our website and also there are details of some hotels in the area. This is a “Faith Supper” event, so please bring something towards the buffet.

The venue does not have a bar. However, you can bring your own drink. I would suggest though that you do drink in moderation as Scottish Country dancing and alcohol do not mix well together.

Local woman Antonia Kealey will be running the London Marathon in April for the Children’s Charity “Get Kids Going”. A fundraising night will be held at Chorlton Conservative Club, 617 Wilbraham Road, Manchester, M21 9AN, on Saturday 10th March from 7.30pm. As part of that evening we, the Gay Gordons Manchester, will be running a night of Scottish Ceilidh dancing. Tickets are £10 with all proceeds go to the named charity. Further details are available from Antonia_kealey@hotmail.com. Please pass this on!
