SINGER-SONGWRITER GABE LOPEZ TO OPEN FOR BELINDA CARLISLE ON UK TOUR

Los Angeles, CA Openly-gay singer-songwriter and producer Gabe Lopez will be opening for Belinda Carlisle in May 2014 on Carlisle’s UK tour. The six-city tour begins in Birmingham and then continues through Newcastle Upon Tyne, Manchester, the IndigO2 in London, Bristol and Cambridge.

Lopez produced and cowrote Carlisle’s 2013 UK hit “Sun, “ as well as three songs on the Top 5 New Kids On the Block album 10 – released last year. Lopez has also been a producer and writer for Joey McIntyre, Charice, James Brown, Thomas Fiss, Chris Salvatore, Varsity Fanclub, SHINee, American Idol finalists Jim Verraros and Angela Peel, and international RaggaHop star Ms. Triniti.

Lopez’ opening slot coincides with his two new singles and new album. The new singles “Hush Your Mind“ and “Butch Cassidy“ are already getting radio-play and strong reviews. Lopez’ new album comes out May 12. Production tricks abound but only add to the well-crafted songs – two fortes possessed by Lopez. Add to that vocals which are inspired by Bono, Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow and George Michael and the album Lopez is signed to a music publishing deal with Rondor Music/Universal. Before signing with Universal,

Lopez placed two songs with the Godfather of Soul James Brown. Said Brown, “Mr. Lopez gets the funk. Mr. Lopez gives us hope for the future of music.”
