MANCHESTER PRIDE LAUNCHES ANNUAL CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT

Manchester Pride is launching the upcoming annual Chamber Music Concert from Monday 22 to Friday 26 August, at the Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall, Manchester University from 13.00 onwards.

The Chamber Music Concert is now in its 4th consecutive year, celebrating LGBT composers, combining international renowned performers and young local talent to create an event for all to be a part of.

This years Concert will include music from Mahen Esfahani, a leading harpsichordist and the BBC’s New Generation Artist, and the supremely talented pianist Martin Roscoe who has performed outstandingly with the BBC Philharmonic and the National Orchestra of Wales. Other artists to share their wealth of musical talent throughout the evening will include the young and vibrant Manchester Pride Ensemble and the incredible clarinettist Stuart King.

Martin Roscoe said: ‘’The Chamber Music Concert is an ensemble of Music and Culture, bringing musicians from all over the world together to perform spectacular recitals for all to see. The Concert is a chance for listeners to engage with the music and enjoy the talents of all the musicians taking part.’’

Jackie Crozier, festival Director of Manchester Pride said: “The Chamber Music Concert is one of most exciting Fringe events, bringing people together through the love of music, and we are thrilled to have such performers on board with us supporting us. We are extremely excited for the Concert and what should be a fantastic day for all.”
