Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Carlisle

Friday 16th May saw Belinda Carlisle arrive in Manchester for her eagerly awaited gig in our wonderful Cathedral. A great mix of young and old, couples and friends eagerly awaiting her arrival on stage. Did Belinda disappoint? Absolutely not. Her vocals where as strong as ever and this lady knows how to work a crowd. I was impressed from beginning to end and this girl is still looking hot!

My only disappointment to the evening was tech side of things. At points this area really let the talent of Belinda down and the very little lighting that was available took away from the splendour of what is a beautiful Cathedral.

Take away the tech issues I absolutely rate Belinda 8/10 a set list you couldn’t argue with, a band that where on top form and entertainment that was second to none, I also need to give a shout out to the Cathedral staff and Priest for making everyone feel so welcome and inclusive. It is great to see these places of worship utilised in a respectful manner and Manchester Cathedral did just that. A great night spent with great friends in an iconic Manchester venue with a legend that is Belinda!

Great support too from the talented Gabe Lopez, who set the tone for an excellent evening.

Fab night had by all
