Village get's thumbs up from frontline workers
The Gay Village got a thumbs up from key frontline workers following last Saturday's 13 hour marathon to raise much needed funds.
The stellar line up included many of our favourite live performers and was hosted by Misty Chance, Viva La Diva and Danny Beard.
Organiser Miss Penny Crayon told us;
"We have had a few queries regarding how the amazing amount of money raised is going to be utilised.
None of the organisers have access to the funds or deal with distribution of such.
The money donated was raised for and on behalf of NHS Charities Together. They are already registered with JustGiving - therefore we don't need to be involved. The money raised through JustGiving will be sent by them directly to to NHS Charities Together.
The Charity supports not only patients, but also our key NHS workers. More information about them can be found on the linked page here
Thank you again to all the performers and everyone behind the scenes who took part in the organisation of the event. Yes there were a few technical issues, yes a few people MIGHT have been on the cooking sherry - but would it be a village event with a non-drama scenario? I don't think so. PLUS we have tea to spill for weeks now!
Stay Safe, Be Kind...and be proud of yourselves for smashing our £1,000 target by reaching over £3,000 in total".
Special thanks to Paul McAvoy, Misty Chance and John Hamilton
