Tour De Trans

Tour De Trans

In August 2020, Paeton and their son teenage, Callum, will be cycling over 1000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Paeton came out as non-binary this year, and the idea of this cycling trip started as a personal celebration of their inner journey to wholeness. But it soon evolved to be the Tour De Trans...

Paeton and Callum are now cycling to raise money for Chrysalis a small charity supporting trans, non binary, and questioning people. Additionally, during the 13 day journey they will be stopping for a number public “Awareness Events” en route to start positive conversations about transgender issues across Britain (whilst maintaining social distancing rules of course!). Additionally, there is an opportunity for trans+ people, their friends, families, and allies to take part in short “Ride Along” events – an opportunity for people to take part in this campaign and show their pride in an active, fun, and safe way! You can find out more via the link below.

One of our Awareness Events and Ride Alongs will be held in Manchester on Wednesday 19th August.

The Tour de Trans is also a means of raising funds to support Chrysalis in the essential work it does, celebrating life, something to look and work towards on the other side of now.

This is an inclusive project, open to all transgender people, their friends, family and allies – whether currently involved with Chrysalis or not.

The main aim would be to make a connection between Paeton and the Tour de Trans, Chrysalis, and the LGBT+ community in MCR, and being a visible presence to the public.

If you had a couple of people keen to take part in 20-30min cycle loop as well afterwards, even better!
