Queer Lit open Shop
We are delighted to share the news that Queer Lit have finally opened their venture and they're now on the high street
There’s a brand-new addition to the heart of the Northern Quarter and it’s been going down a storm. Queer Lit, Manchester’s Independent Gay Bookshop has opened on Tib Street and it’s bringing LGBTQ+ literature to the masses.
Owner Matthew set up Queer Lit after struggling to discover a good range of queer literature online and after a rather disastrous visit to a large bookshop on Deansgate, who told him they no longer have an LGBT section, he felt something needed to change.
The new store boasts over 1800 LGBTQ+ titles and looks absolutely stunning. One of only a handful of gay bookshops in the UK, Queer Lit stocks a dazzling array of titles from some of the most famous authors to hundreds of indies trying to have their stories and voices heard.
The layout of the store is easy to navigate with categories clearly displaying gay, lesbian, trans, non-binary, parenting, youth (10-14 years), graphic novels and even children’s books and more.
Queer Lit is open every day, so pop in and immersive into their expensive range of Queer Literature and if you’re not local you can find them online
REMEMBER TOO, THAT YOU CAN ENJOY A 10% DISCOUNT WITH A VALID @CANALSTVIPCARD EVERYTIME YOU VISIT.
