Saturday 2nd November will see the grand finale of Ecdysiast Encounters, a competition for new burlesque talent, where eleven performers chosen from three qualifying heats in Manchester, Leeds and York will compete for the title as chosen by a combination of audience votes and guest judges.

On the closing day of the festival, The Burlesque Bee social event will take place including refreshments, a raffle and pop up burlesque and cabaret entertainment.

“Since I produced the first ever burlesque and cabaret show in Manchester, it has been my dream to host a burlesque festival in this amazing city. Twelve years later it is finally becoming a reality. I suppose Manchester now really does have everything apart from a beach!” said Bella Besame, Owner of Besame Entertainment and Producer of The Slippery Belle. “As well as celebrating the community of performers in the Northwest and beyond, I hope that anyone new to burlesque or cabaret can discover its spirit and unique charm at the Manchester Burlesque Festival”
