I AM because we are

I AM because we are

I Am Because We Are stands in the wake of Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham’s recent unveiling at the Manchester Pride Candlelit Vigil in August, of the plan for the city-region to become part of the Fast Track Cities network.

In launching the programme, the Mayor has set out a bold plan to end all new cases of HIV in Greater Manchester residents within 25 years.

I Am Because We Are will tour from 8 – 21 October across seven Greater Manchester boroughs, with partners including the Destitution Project and the Proud Trust. Our venues include churches, community centres and drop-in centres for refugees and asylum seekers.

The following performances are confirmed with more to follow:

Thursday 11 October, 7pm

CGL Change Grow Live, Phoenix Mill, 20 Piercy St, Manchester, M4 7HY.

Tuesday 16 October, 1pm

Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival. Tix.

Saturday 20 October, 7pm

Limelight, 1 St Brides Way, Old Trafford, M16 9NW.  Tix
