Great win for Manchester LGBTQ business

By now you may have heard the good news. Thanks to the incredible support from our customers, Queer Lit is officially The LGBTQ+ Business Awards - Best New Business.

Friday night saw the LGBTQ+ Business Awards taking place where our very own Queer Lit – Manchester’s Independent Gay Bookshop, took home the Best New Business Award.

Since opening online over a year ago, Queer Lit as grown from 700 LGBTQ+ titles to over 1900. As well as opening their new shop on Tib Street in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Queer Lit are hailed for the community work they have been carrying out over the last year.

Their Free Books For Schools Program has seen them donate over 1000 free books to secondary schools all over the UK, allowing young LGBTQ+ people to see themselves in the literature they read in school. Their Educate Your MP drive has seen them send 300 copies of Trans Britain by Christine Burns to MP’s all over the UK giving law makers a better understanding of Trans history before making laws about our community.

You can checkout Queer Lit’s extensive range of LGBTQ+ books online at www.Queerlit.co.uk

We have been delighted to work with the team, at QUEER LIT since they first opened and couldn't be happier.

Congratulations.
