Celebrate 30 years Queer
Manchester’s LGBT centre is a thriving youth and community centre, based on Sidney Street in the heart of the city. It is the first fully publicly funded ‘gay centre’ built in Europe and this year marks its 30th Birthday.
Three decades of fighting the homophobes, biphobes and transphobes is worth celebrating in anyone's book so we will be hosting a couple of events to do just that on saturday 24th November.
Join us as we celebrate 30 years of fighting the homophobes, biphobes, transphobes. Manchester is the ONLY city in the UK with a purpose-built LGBT+ centre and tonight we'll be dancing and debauching as we mark this momentous history.
Bring your mates, your mam, your merkin.
Expect high-energy revalry in this intimate basement gig, with tunes provided by DJs from bollox, off the hook, kiss me again, supernature, cha cha budoir and sh!t lesbian disco. Side-show booths will provide excitment and queerness across all four floors.
All this for a fiver + every penny goes to supporting LGBT+ youth in Manchester. Guarantee your part of this history, get your ticket now.
During the day there will be family oriented activities at the centre itself and in the evening we will be hosting an after party at Yes on Charles Street.
