Airbnb Superhost to Launch LGBT Platform

Airbnb Superhost to Launch LGBT Platform

Hosting since 2015, Airbnb Superhost Robert Geller, based in Tampa, Florida, aims to remove the ‘coming out’ process when booking accommodations through Airbnb and VRBO.

Geller’s team have their sights set on Airbnb’s 5.3M active listings looking to gain a 5% foothold within its first 18 months, making it the largest LGBT accommodations platform.

The Hunt for Welcoming Hosts is on in Manchester with no more scouring host listings for clues if they are LGBT welcoming, an ally or member of the LGBT community.

No more messaging hosts ensuring their ‘o.k.’ with hosting a gay couple or member of the transgender community.

Gone is the awkward interaction for a lesbian couple of standing feet away from a total stranger, in the host’s home and being asked if that person traveling with them is their sister when in fact it’s their partner.

Travel is about fun and exploration, coming out to strangers is no way to kick-off a trip.

Nearly 2,300 Airbnb and VRBO hosts from around the world have already  pre-registered for Geller’s new platform in just over 6 weeks and you could be the next one.
