15th year for Sugar and Spice
Sugar & spice is back from 4th March:
Is it that time again, I hear you cry! Damned straight it is. It’s Sugar & Spice and would you believe it, this baby is 15 years old!
Sugar and Spice is an annual wellbeing festival. It is held to celebrate International Women’s Day for lesbian, bi and queer women. Offering a huge range of FREE workshops and spaces to celebrate all LGBT+ womxn in Greater Manchester (and beyond!)
Sugar and Spice is for all self-identifying women who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer or questioning, all or part of the time, including trans women, B.A.M.E women and women of colour, older women, disabled/neurodivergent women, women who are seeking asylum or have no recourse to public funds, women of all faiths and backgrounds, and non-binary/gender fluid people and transfeminine people who want to access a women-centred space.
This year they are doing a bucket load of all kinds of the stuff including their first ever talent show hosted by the inimitable drag king ADAM All.
Adam All has been performing as a Drag King for 11 years and has been instrumental the growth of the Drag King scene in the UK. He is the first winner of Pride in London's 'Prides Got Talent Cabaret' and the first ever winner of 'Best Drag King' at the 2019 QX Cabaret Awards.
