"Last nights' opening performance of one of the World's favourite fairy stories, The Sleeping Beauty, did not disappoint in anyway, it was I have to say totally enthralling for a whole two and a half hours.

A truly enchanting, elegant and beautiful performance by a large cast dressed in the most gorgeous costumes is indeed a production to be seen.

The audience was completely taken in by the spell of the enchanting and beautiful Lilac Fairy and the wicked (if somewhat camp) Carabosse, who cast his nasty curse on the beautiful and talented Princess Aurora.

The principal dancers were exquisite and the en point balances and spins performed by Tamara Rojo (Aurora)were truly and utterly amazing.  And, all of this achieved with a constant but beautiful smile on her face.   The rest of the ENB cast displayed the quality one would expect from such a famous company.

All of this set to the wonderful orchestral accompaniment of Tchaikovsky's brilliant music for Ballet

If the empty seats were anything to go by from last night; I truly hope that the remainder of the Tour is a sell out........   I certainly could have sat through it again.

A MUST SEE FOR ALL AGES"
