Collabro live

Collabro live

To the Lowry Theatre to see Collabro, a musical theatre group who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2014. This was a new one for us, having never heard them sing live before.

The theatre was very well attended with a most exciting atmosphere and many devoted fans were present clutching VIP packages, lanyards, mugs etc. Some fans told us they had seen every single concert they had done, true commitment indeed.

We were very impressed with the level of audience engagement as they were rapt right from the start and gave of standing ovations, throughout the concert.

We were looking forward to lots of show tunes in the programme, though most of the songs were from more modern shows including Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom of the Opera, etc. Most entertaining.

Collabro were supported by a small group of musicians and at one point a choir from a local school came on stage and were clearly loving their moment in the spotlight. Their contribution was lovely, accompanying 2 songs really beautifully.

There was certainly no doubting the love in the room for this group and it did contribute to the evening to see them so greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to the Lowry staff, particularly the lovely bar staff and helpful box office.
