Adore Delano - A Pizza Me tour
When I order pizza I don't want ham and pineapple, I want a meat feast and the Adore Delano one woman show, 'a pizza me' is definitely a meat feast. Victoria Secret who supported the show is the delicious garlic and herb dip that completes the dish - and yes we are all still waiting for Victoria Secret to get her own show! That is probably enough of the pizza related puns but the analogy is correct, the show was great.
I have seen Adore Delano regularly in Manchester and this is probably the sharpest I have ever seen her. She was funny, real and the vocals were massively on point. She performed a range of songs, some of her own and covers of others, fan favourites such as 'My address is Hollywood' and 'Back to black' by Amy Winehouse were particular highlights.
The other thing about Adore is she is real credibility as an artist, her own songs have a story behind them and she gets clearly emotional at points when talking about her own back story. Whether it is related to family or her time on American Idol, Adore has something to say and we're listening. I think this is what still makes Adore a firm favourite from RuPaul. We are 11 seasons in and the season 6 queen is still one of those people we just keep talking about.
This particular show was perfect for any kind of fan of drag race - the audience was full of people from 16 years and up. Adore Delano has mass appeal and Holy T know how to tap into that. A perfect range of merchandise was also available and it was definitely a win to get Domino's well and truly on board with the show.
I am definitely looking forward to seeing Adore back later in the year and can't wait for more announcements from the team that is Holy T. We know that Heels of Hell is later in the year but I am sure there will be further announcements down the line!
