Train line upgrade may cause delays

Here are some details to help with your travel plans for this years Big Weekend..

The Euston – Watford Gap

Planned line closure between London Euston and Watford Junction is taking place this August.

Network Rail are carrying out a major £81m improvement scheme on the West Coast Main Line, one of the busiest and fastest growing routes in the UK. The works around Watford will improve the ageing infrastructure, helping make the route more reliable and robust – meaning an even better service for you. Please check your route before you travel.

When’s it happening?

These improvement works will mostly be affecting services at weekends, in addition to the August Bank Holiday (Monday 25).

There will also be a reduced service to and from London Euston until 16:30 on Monday 11 and Monday 18 August.

 Saturday, Sunday & Monday 9, 10 & 11 August

 Saturday, Sunday & Monday 16, 17 & 18 August

 Saturday, Sunday & Monday 23, 24 & 25 August (Bank Holiday Weekend)

As a result of these affected days, some of our other services may be busier than usual so we recommend you to book early to get availability.
