Squash for Pride Games

Squash for Pride Games

As one of the United Kingdom’s most popular amateur participation sports, it is little surprise that Squash has become one of the most popular attractions for the annual Pride Games.

Headed up by Northern Rebound Squash Club, one of the country’s largest LGBT squash social groups, almost 50 participants from across Europe, including the Czech Republic, Netherlands and Germany, will battle it out for glory on June 8th 2013 for the accolade of Pride Games champion.

The Pride Games Squash Tournament welcomes all standards of ability, experience and sexual orientation. Refreshments will be provided on the day too and you will have the opportunity to join for dinner and drinks in the evening.

For those unable to participate in Pride Games but have a keen interest in playing squash, Northern Rebound meets up to three times a week on Wednesday at 7.00pm, Friday at 6.15pm and Sundays at 1.00pm at the National Squash Centre, next to Manchester City Football Stadium.

A club that has grown substantially in little more than four years, Northern Rebound has been welcoming new members since 2009, many of which have since gone on to enjoy success at a high level.

Furthermore, Northern Rebound has a proud record of nurturing novice members to achieve their full potential, thanks in part to the social nature of the club and support from our resident England Squash and Racket ball certified coach whose sister is currently ranked as one of the best female squash players in the world.

If you’re seeking wonderful opportunity to meet new people, indulge in some friendly competition and, most of all, have fun, search for ‘Northern Rebound’ on Facebook to get in contact or simply arrive and play.
