Sky High race on Canal St

NEW FIX Easyjet and Manchester Pride are willing us to put our best foot forward and join in with their 'Sky High' race this summer, where all participants will take part in a mass high heel sprint down Canal Street!

The race will kick start a week of fun events in the build-up to Pride 2013 and will see competitors slip into stilettos for a 60m dash down Canal St. It's been accomplished by many on nights out (who us? No never!) but on 19 August the contestant with the fastest footwork will totter away with a trophy and easyJet flights.

However, there are limited places available to take part, so please visit manchesterpride.com/skyhigh or search Skyhighrace on Twitter to get involved. The event takes place at 6pm on Monday 19 August and is open to anyone aged 18 or over wearing heels of two inches or above.

Darren Adams, Deputy Chief Executive of Pride, said: "It's great to work with easyJet on such a fun event to set the tone of Pride 2013. Manchester has a reputation for being one of Britain's most stylish cities and we hope to see lots of people strutting their stuff down Canal Street on 19 August. It'll definitely be a fierce contest and is something we hope will become a regular addition to Pride."

Rules:
Entrants welcomed from anyone aged 18 or over
Entrants must start and finish race in heels of two inches or above
No pushing, tripping up other racers or diva strops and be sure to keep your shoe envy in check at all times!
