Sinderfella
MANCHESTER’S PANTOMIME WITH BALLS!
Shameless’s Alice Barry as The Fairy Godmother
Sinderfella: Miss Thunderpussy | Nicksy as Buttons
THE DANCE HOUSE, Manchester Thurs 15th Dec 2011 – Sat 7th Jan 2012
PRESS PERFORMANCE: Fri 16 December, 7.45pm

A total sell out hit at London’s Leicester Square Theatre for Christmas 2009, this wicked adult twist on the classic pantomime mixes bawdy cross dressing and feel good party anthems to kick start Christmas with a bang!

The actress scheduled to play Cinderella for the night hasn't turned up so it’s left to Fairy Godmother Lillian (Shameless’s Alice Barry) to conjure up a plan.  Loitering around the auditorium is Miss Thunderpussy, who has always dreamed of playing Cinderella and is gagging for the chance to step in… Hilarity ensues as Sinderfella works her magic, ensnaring both her Prince Charming and Buttons (Nicksy), neither of whom realise that she’s a drag queen!

Alice Barry regularly appeared in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, New Street Law, Bob and Rose, and three series of Clocking Off. She is best known as Lillian from Shameless, the critically acclaimed drama for which she is currently filming a ninth series.

International drag artist Miss Thunderpussy is the last known IT Girl in the Midlands and a legendary name in Manchester village.  She regularly appears in Manchester’s Thompsons Arms, often appears at Pride festivals across the UK, and has appeared in such TV shows as Something For The Weekend with Denise Van Outen, Hollyoaks, and Canada’s Worst Driver with Quentin Wilson.

Nicksy is the presenter of radio show Late Night Nicksy, which plays in Liverpool and also in the North West, North East, Cheshire, Southern Spain and Gibraltar. He can also be heard on weekdays on Gaydio, Manchester’s LGB&T FM radio station. He has been a presenter on Manchester’s Breakfast Show on Galaxy 102, and on a Saturday night can be found running the Pop Lounge at Manchester’s Essential Nightclub.

Simon Gross has been producer for SG Productions for last ten years.
