Sam Bailey headlines Supersonic

Supersonic is an exclusive red-carpet charity event organised by Manchester Pride, which takes place in the lofty surroundings of Manchester Airport's Concorde Hangar, on Friday 11 April 2014.

Last year's spectacular event went off with a 'Supersonic Boom', with Brit-pop band The Feeling serenading guests with support from Salford-born Ren Harvieu and an impromptu performance by a favourite of Manchester Pride, Alexander Stewart. The atmosphere was electric - with guests taking to the dance floor in-between courses!

This year we are going even bigger! As you make your way down the red carpet, a sparkling drinks reception awaits you under the iconic Concorde airliner, where you will have the opportunity to board the aircraft for a VIP tour. The drinks reception is followed by an exquisite four course banquet including wine and coffee, all under the wings of Concorde.

Guests will be entertained throughout the evening by The X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey - whose album 'The Power of Love' went straight in to the official album charts at No. 1, with supporting artists, Felix Hagen & The Family and Twisted Tubes. All polished off with a dj to keep guests partying until the early hours.

Money raised through a charity raffle and auction, will go directly towards the Manchester Pride Community Fund, helping support LGBT and HIV organisations in Greater Manchester.

Sam Bailey, who stole the hearts of the nation in 2013’s The X Factor, will be blowing away the crowd in the spectacular Concorde Hangar. Known for her hit debut album, ‘The Power of Love’’ which is tipped to hit number 1 in the UK charts, Sam Bailey now counts Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Michael Bolton amongst her celebrity fans. The former prison guard blew away millions of TV viewers with her appearance on the X Factor with her big emotional songs, and spine-tingling vocals which secured her a place as a support act on Beyonce’s ‘The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour’ earlier this year.

The evening also features FELIX HAGAN AND THE FAMILY, TWISTED TUBES and will hosted by LEE PEART [FIRST OFFICER].
