Queer on Canal St moves to new home

Groundbreaking and controversial at the time,Queer Bar which opened in 2003,has this week closed its doors at the Canal St site.

But the good new is that classic nights associated with the venue are being relaunched at the Essentail Building on Minshull St.

Four of Manchester’s biggest clubbing brands are merging to bring an exciting new buzz to The Village..They are QUEER,MORNIN GLORY,BOYZ and ESSENTIAL itself.

DEEJAYS ON ROTATION INCLUDE: APHRODITE, STUART ROBINSON, MARK TILLOTSON, NITRA-M, BEN HUGHES, CARL HYLAND
ANDY DANIELS, RIK RILEY

Hosted by Chrissy darling and Mad Pat with muscle boys, dancers and stunning visuals in the Dance Arena

Owner Nigel Martin-Smith said..

"The exciting thing about The Village is its constantly evolving. You have to adapt and change to the fast moving environment. We reopened Essential for Pride this year and our customers loved it so it made sense to move our busy late night events at Queer. The massive success of The Velvet Hotel has been an issue because of the inevitable problems with people trying to sleep next to a busy bar but now everyone can dance in the new venue until the early hours with no one will be disrupted"

Coming soon – the launch of a BIG new Saturday night  Monthly Club event starts Saturday 2 November
And then the FIRST Saturday of every month.
