Queens at Court
"Queens at Court" followed by a Q&A with New York Director and Producer Shiv Paul
Queens at Court is a documentary that profiles the incredible stories of adversity of four of the many diverse LGBTQ amateur tennis players who compete regularly on an international gay and lesbian tennis tour, the Gay Games and United States Tennis Association (USTA) heterosexual regional tennis leagues.
Director and Producer Shiv Paul says, "Queens at Court is an inspiring and entertaining springboard that will encourage questioning of mainstream representation of sport, whether sporting clubs, teams or individuals. My hope is that work like Queens at Court encourages people to do two things: get involved in the ongoing discussion about diversity in sport, and to consider with seriousness where they are on the scale of tolerance and acceptance of those who are different and, most importantly, of themselves."
