Trans Men’s Basketball Taster Session

A basketball taster session for people on the trans* masculine spectrum will be held as part of Pride Games 2013.

Basketball is a fun, fast-paced team sport.  For trans people, however, there are few safe spaces in which to play.  After watching basketball at London 2012, two Manchester-based trans guys thought, “we should try that!”  They were also inspired by Kye Allums, an openly trans man who transitioned while playing university basketball in the USA.
This event is designed as an enjoyable introduction to the sport.  Trans men of all abilities are welcome - and indeed encouraged - to come along.  We will have our own changing room for the session.

The session is on Thursday 6 June 2013, 7:30 to 9:30pm, at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield.  This event is FREE to attend.  No basketball experience necessary!  For more info and to register, please visit: http://transbasketball.eventbrite.co.uk/#
