New look for vigil

New look for vigil

Hundreds processed through Manchester's Gay Village last Saturday evening,to mark WORLD AIDS DAY 2012.

As a departure from the historical gathering in Sackville Park, the new alliance between the various bodies/partners incuding GHT and LGF,met there, together with a great many members of the community to honour those who have passed, aswell as to show their support for those living with HIV.

Further to this, many of the venues situated in the village asked their customers to stand at their entrances as the procession passed by.Many commented that this was the most engaging vigil they had ever attended.

Canal St Online would like to congratulate all those who made this a truly memorable event and we look forward to an even bigger remembrance in 2013.
