The office Christmas party is just around the corner and whilst it’s a time of celebration we, want people to remember to look after themselves, their friends and their property. You can help yourself and us by following some simple steps. Stick together in groups of friends late at night, stick to well lit streets and avoid that sneaky shortcut. If you do end up alone or become separated from friends get a licensed taxi from one the marshalled stops, turn your phone to silent then you’re not attracting unwanted attention to your property and stick to walking on well lit, busy streets.
Officers from the team will be patrolling the streets with the Village Angels over the coming weeks offering reassurance and assistance in this busy period so if you see the team be sure to say ‘Hi’. Finally! Officers from the village team will be participating in ‘Worlds Aids Day’ this year by attending the vigil at the Beacon of Hope in Sackville gardens which is set to start at 6:30pm. We hope members of the community will be able to join us at this important event.
