Have you looked around Manchester's gay village lately? There's a distinct lack of mincing these days. Lady Gaga does it, Alan Carr is doing very nicely from it, even Ozzy Osborne has admitted he loves a good old mince when he's onstage. Mincers seem to be everywhere but on the streets of Manchester - even the infamous Market St. mincer has disappeared.

So what... happened to it?

Did we become afraid to mince in fear of being harassed by hen parties and their rough trade admirers? Did it become pre-2010? Did H from Steps eat it? Who knows, who cares?

Actually, we care (we being the club night Bollox) and for one night only we're bringing mincing back to the bruised cobbles of Canal Street.

On Friday 17 June 2011 the Blige Sisters will be hosting the UKs first mass mincing event and we want as many of you to come along and join us in tearing up (and reclaiming) Canal Street.

Meet us outside Taurus bar at 10pm and after a few warm up stretches we'll all mince for our lives up and down Canal Street. If it becomes thirsty work then we might have to stop off at a few bars refreshments (BYO if you like).

Mincing is free and meant to be fun. Everyone welcome… No dickheads though.

The Blige Sisters will be studying you all closely and present the fiercest mincers with free passes to the their Disco Bloodbath party at Bollox club later that evening.
