A ‘GHOST’ DRIVES MANCHESTER CARS FORWARD
One of the City’s biggest private hire taxi companies has invested in a new state-of-the-art GPS dispatch system, that will help to improve the customer service experience and also allow more journey efficiencies across the City, reducing their carbon footprint further.
Every vehicle in the fleet of cars and minibuses used by Manchester Cars, is now fitted with Ghost system software, developed by Autocab based in Cheadle, Cheshire, who are one of the world market leaders is taxicab technology. It means that journey efficiencies can be made by sending the nearest driver to a passenger booking and allows complete tracking of a booking and journey from start to finish.
Manchester Cars has seen a large increase in demand for its services, meaning it now provides over 18,000 passenger journeys every week.
Les Gunn, Marketing Manager for Manchester Cars explains:
“Manchester Cars growth has been exciting and the whole management team here are as committed to their level of customer service as they were when they started off with just four vehicles at Wellington Mill in Pollard Street back in 2002.
This year has seen the company achieve 2 million passenger journeys already since our original computer data dispatch system was introduced in 2007 and with the launch of the Autocab Ghost system, we can offer corporate and residential customers an even more efficient service – plus, our new ‘Textback’ facility after every journey, means our customers can tell us what they think of their experience, good or bad. We’re really taking the private hire taxi experience to a new level!
Coupled with our extensive radio and digital advertising campaign this year, our new look website plus corporate video from the fantastic team at Manchester based BellyFlop TV, we’re offering even more ways to communicate with us and finding the best journey options and offers for work or leisure.”
