WILL LIP SERVICE BE AS BIG AS QAF?
Listen to this week’s BIG QUESTION on the Gay Hour programme from the BBC
The Gay Hour (Citizen Manchester LGBT) is the ONLY regular LGBT current affairs magazine programme on the BBC.

Presenter Ashley Byrne and co-hosts Andrew Edwards and singer songwriter Claire Mooney discuss the LGBT issues of the week with a variety of guests – and this week the team gave their verdict on the new six part BBC 3 lesbian drama series Lip Service. Will it be as a big as Queer as Folk? Will it be gay women or straight men who love it most? And was there too much sex in the first episode?

Also on the programme, US writer Michael Loungo continues his regular series of ‘Gay Tales from Baghdad’ in which he talks about his recent trips to Iraq where LGBT people are living in fear of persecution at the hands of militias.
Meanwhile the team also hear from Jenny Ann Bishop who is about to undergo gender re-assignment treatment and Matt Whiteley from Manchester’s Village Spartans Rugby Club who explains how Manchester will be welcoming thousands of gay rugby players for the Bingham Cup in 2012.
