Kiss Hate Goodbye

Kiss Hate Goodbye, is the next phase of our Enough is Enough! ACTION Against Homophobia Campaign.

The aim of Kiss Hate Goodbye is to ensure people understand what exactly a hate crime is, what it involves and how to report it.

We’ve been asking the community to organise ‘kissing flashmobs’ around the country to raise awareness and get people to speak up about hate crime and give it some lip!

So much hatred can come out of people’s mouths directed at the lesbian, gay, trans and bisexual communities that we want to try and redress the balance by showing how people can get together and do something fun and impactful to challenge hate crime.

We held a ‘kissing flashmob’ in Manchester on Saturday 18th May, watch the video here, and have asked supporters to host flashmobs around the country to make a visible impact in their community and raise awareness.

It’s vital that people report any incident of hate crime. If you do nothing, no one will know what has happened to you and nothing can be done about it. It also means that other people may receive the same or worse abuse. Don’t tolerate hate crime. Left unchallenged, it will spread.

Did you know that The Lesbian & Gay Foundation can report Hate on your behalf and provide you with support and information? Just call 0845 3 30 30 30 (10am-10pm). In an emergency you should always call the police on 999 (Textphone: 18000). You can also call the police on 101 (Textphone 18001 101)
